National Grocers Association, one of WFIA's federal partners, worked with Olsson, Frank, Weeda, Terman, Matz PC to create a memorandum regarding customer use of face masks. As of July 28, 2020, neither President Trump nor any federal agency has required a nationwide mask requirement. However, Washington state has a mask mandate. The memorandum addresses some of the face mandates in other states, but also mask policies and liability concerns. The memorandum is focused on grocery stores but all business including convenience stores and suppliers may find this document helpful.

The plastic bag ban was initially supposed to take effect on January 1, 2021 after passing in the 2020 Legislative Session.
