WFIA 2026 Retailer of the Year Cedar Village IGA

WFIA is proud to honor Cedar Village IGA and owner Raleigh Stone as its 2026 Retailer of the Year.

As the owner of Cedar Village IGA, Stone has been a fixture in the Washington grocery industry for over 45 years. An ardent advocate for independent grocers, Stone has become a role model within the state’s independent grocery industry by his fellow owners and operators of independent grocery stores. As a WFIA and IGA member, he has championed the "Independent" spirit, proving that a small-town grocer can survive through economic shifts, internal challenges, and competition from larger retailers. . In1985, he participated with the association and then-Gov. Booth Gardner to establish the week of Sept. 8-14 as Independent Grocers Week.

Stone’s commitment to the Winlock community and surrounding areas in Southwest Washington is unsurpassed, always putting the customer first, providing a hometown feel for shoppers. He is well known for embracing innovation to better serve his customers, while also providing a positive workplace environment for his employees. Today, Stone remains committed to supporting the industry and is a pillar in the community and industry he represents.
