WFIA is proud to honor Cedar Village IGA and owner Raleigh Stone as its 2026 Retailer of the Year.
As the owner of Cedar Village IGA, Stone has been a fixture in the Washington grocery industry for over 45 years. An ardent advocate for independent grocers, Stone has become a role model within the state’s independent grocery industry by his fellow owners and operators of independent grocery stores. As a WFIA and IGA member, he has championed the "Independent" spirit, proving that a small-town grocer can survive through economic shifts, internal challenges, and competition from larger retailers. . In1985, he participated with the association and then-Gov. Booth Gardner to establish the week of Sept. 8-14 as Independent Grocers Week.
Stone’s commitment to the Winlock community and surrounding areas in Southwest Washington is unsurpassed, always putting the customer first, providing a hometown feel for shoppers. He is well known for embracing innovation to better serve his customers, while also providing a positive workplace environment for his employees. Today, Stone remains committed to supporting the industry and is a pillar in the community and industry he represents.
