WFIA is proud to honor FMS Solutions and Matt Scheelar, FMS Director of Solutions Engineering, with its 2026 Vendor of the Year Award.

A key part of FMS’ success is the work of Matt Scheelar, who has used his comprehensive and tenured experience with both technology and financial accounting in the grocery industry to help their customers succeed.

Scheelar’s first work experience was working as a bagger at his local grocery store in Oregon. Eventually, he found his way into operations, finance, accounting and technology as he spent more time at work and in school. His practical work experience, combined with his academic studies led to a successful career in the food industry.

Thanks to Scheelar and his fellow solution engineers, grocers and entrepreneurs have been able to streamline and simplify their business operationally and financially. He makes complex problems, and their solutions, approachable for everyone in the industry.
